Year 2 of Usher Cup is quickly approaching with not long left for competitors to prepare for the contest hosted by Snapper Rocks Surfriders Club.
Created by an ancient volcano over a millennia ago, and perfected by man kind’s intervention, Snapper Rocks has become an idyllic and iconic surf destination across the globe.
Working and training alongside some of the world’s best surfers in the world, in an intimate and personal way, is a priceless opportunity for any grassroots surfer looking to develop their skills and dive into the professional league.
Coming back bigger and better than before, Usher Cup is thrilled to once again be joined by Snapper Rocks Surfriders Club as the Host Club and location for the second instalment of the annual surf contest.
With just over seven weeks to go, promotion for the Usher Cup 2022 is running full speed ahead as the offical media launch was held at Rainbow Bay Surf Lifesaving Club with Event Co-Founders, presenting partner, recipient charity representative and past finalist in toe.
As preparations ramp up for the 2022 event, Usher Cup founders have announced the $10k for TEN campaign – in association with the grassroots surf contest, the event will be raising funds to directly contribute $10,000 to ten local charities across South East Queensland.
Registrations are now open and preparations are well underway for an epic three-day surf competition, at Snapper Rocks from Friday 28th to Sunday 30th January.
New South Wales’ northernmost beach, Duranbah beach, is one of two stunning locations chosen to host the inaugural Usher Cup, a three-day surf event showcasing amateur surfers.
Snapper Rocks is a small rocky outcrop located on the northern side of Point Danger, at the southern end of Rainbow Bay and forms the first part of the “Superbank” surf break.
