Your Usher Cup 2023 hosts are an Australian surfing powerhouse who need little introduction. Calling one of the world’s most popular surf breaks home Snapper Rocks Board riders club boasts some of the world’s best known and successful surfers amongst its members, while the standard of junior talent coming through is mind-boggling.

The club was originally formed in 1964 with local surfers making the most of a surf break which while having some human enhancement, is very much a natural miracle providing the perfect competition wave. 

Home to more than a hundred junior surfers, Snapper Rocks has its eyes firmly on the future and are constantly promoting and nurturing the regions emerging elite competitive surfers and assisting them on the journey from grassroots to global. 

Club President Jay Phillips stocked to again be hosting the third instalment of the Usher Cup at Snapper Rocks.

“The constant evolution of the Usher Cup has been epic, and this year’s contest will be one not to be missed as we welcome not only Australia’s best board riding clubs to the Gold Coast, but also seven international teams.”

“To be providing an opportunity for some of the world’s most exciting junior stars to compete for individual, club and international honours is brilliant and a great way these young male and female surfers to make some good money as they plot their professional careers.”

Last years club and Men’s champions will again field a quality squad for Usher Cup 2023 with competition for places in the Snapper Rocks BRC team tougher than ever.

Usher Cup 2023 will be held at Snapper Rocks over four days from the 19th to the 22nd of January and is proudly presented by Tourism & Events Queensland, the City of Gold Coast and Media partner Hot Tomato.
